| Abstract | Our basic present choice for the candidates to the multiplicity counters of ALICE is the Micro Channel Plate based detector (FMD-MCP) [1,2]. The signals from MCP detector are very sharp in time. The signal from a single particle has a leading edge rise time of about 200ps and a width of 1ns. |
