CERN Accelerating science

Tensions between the Staff Association and the Management led to a short strike from 1.30 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. with an assembly of the personnel in the hall of the Main Building. The Staff Council deplored the lack of any real progress on the Association's package of measures, whereas a crisis levy had been implemented since January 2023. The Staff Council was missing opportunities for concertation or discussion. Furthermore, the Staff Council expressed its concern that no agreement has been reached between the Member States regarding the payment of additional exceptional contributions, despite the fact that this was seen to be inseparable from the crisis levy which had already been in place since January 2023.
