002647950 520__ $$aWe present a search for supersymmetric (SUSY) electroweakino (χ± , χ0 ) production through Vector˜1 ˜2√Boson Fusion (VBF) at s = 13 TeV, carried out on proton-proton collision data corresponding toan integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb−1 collected by the CMS experiment in the 2016 LHC acceleratorrun. Our study is focused towards a final state composed by a single soft-pT muon, large missingtransverse momentum and two jets with large invariant mass and widely separated. The dijet systemis the signature for the VBF topology, which is critical for background reduction. The event selectioncriteria were defined to maximize the SUSY signal significance under a compressed mass scenariowhere the wino-like electroweakino masses are nearly degenerate with respect to the bino-like LightestSUSY particle (χ0 ). No data excess is observed over the estimated standard model backgrounds.˜1Our results are combined with the ones from similar studies for the other lepton flavors (electron, tauand without any reconstructed lepton) to establish 95% CL exclusion limits for a slepton democraticscenario, assuming mχ± = mχ0 and slightly higher tan mχ0 by ∆m = mχ± − mχ0 = 1 GeV through˜1˜1˜2˜1˜150 GeV range. Chargino masses are excluded up to mχ± < 300 GeV (212 GeV) for ∆m= 30 GeV˜1(10 GeV).
