Abstract	Laser Doppler Vibrometers (LDV) are optical instruments for accurately measuring velocity and displacement of vibrating structures completely without contact.A rugged optic head (roughly the same size as a video camera) mounts to a tripod and can be easily pointed at a vibrating object.
